Back to Yugioh Projects again...

This post was originally posted on Janime.eu
I never did quit on Yugioh. But a lot of people believed I did, especially after watching my "Burn of the Yugioh" trailer without knowing of the real reason.

So today I was bored at work, my students didn't show up, there's not really much I can do with a old damaged laptop, while the Internet here is way more slower than it should be. And that is really why I'm writing a blog entry on Janime.

So let me just mention what I've been up to and what I have planned.
I started learning about rendering fur on 3Dsmax recently, so I decided to attempt to make a Monster that has fur. I had chosen Kuriboh, but I ended up working and experimenting on another monster. I won't mention which because it's part of my "Guess Who's that Yugioh Card" bit on my 3D Models thread.

So last night something unexpected happened. My neighbor(who is stuck in bed after his operation) calls me and tells that the laptop is not responding (he's borrowing mine) when he tried to play Power of Chaos. Normally I wouldn't expect him to play Yugioh (rarely non-english speaking people in this country ever play) but he had been playing it some years back on someone's pc after I had installed POC there. Even surprising is that his wife also wanted to play. So I ended up giving them a lesson on how the game works, and lent them some of my salvaged cards to practice with. Additionally they are now helping me with an old project that I stopped, and that's translating the game into Singhala. But I said first we'll finish translating POC, and if that works then they can continue to do the colossal task.

And finally the only other Yugioh related thing I'm doing is thinking about making a new prop duel disk. Not for playing on but just a cosplay addon. I already bought a few tiny motors to control the moving parts, but I'm still debating on the materials I'll use for the base and structure. The goal is to make it look like an Academy duel disk. We'll see how far I go with attempting this project.

That's about all I got to say today. Right now I want to go home because I got a call from the phone company that the phone line was checked and fixed and that now it should work... meaning I can use the INTERNET at home... yay.

The Fight for Glorton

So I woke up this morning, and had some time to kill. That generally leads to me playing some game(s) for way too long. In the 2 hours I've been awake, I remembered a flash based game that's like Super Smash Brothers that I played.
For some reason I never seem to save any links or write down the names of any flash games that I REALLY find interesting... heck I cannot remember most of them now even.

But a little while ago I found the game... "The Fight For Glorton" ...Now all I need to do is get my controller and a 2nd keyboard hooked up to my PC, and I can have a 4 way battle. That's right, this is one of the few Flash based games that offers 4 Player mode on the same PC, and it's fast paced enough with game play similar to Super Smash Brothers. And lets assume you don't have any emulation software to run any SSB game, THIS IS the next best thing on a PC (or web browser).
The down side is that the game has some limits. Only 4 Maps, and all the characters have a ranged attack (shooting?) that can be spammed, thus prevent the other player from getting near. The AI is easy to beat too.

Overall this game is good if you want something quick and short to play with up to 4 people. Excellent if you're at work and want to thrash 3 other people.

Play it @ Armor Games

Or Play it Here...

Rider Viper Returns... (again?)

Alright, where the bloody hell have I been in the many many months?
Well it's a vary long short story...
Firstly for those that did not know, I had a nice girlfriend, and we broke up. And then things went from bad to worse. Then I decided that I no longer need to be around so I stopped using the Internet and I didn't want to go out much and I gave up on some of the things I like to do. The laptop conincidentially stopped working the very same day I changed my status back to single.

The funny part is that I had met someone else after that who was kind of similar to me, and it seemed like only we both understood the problems of each other. But we had some issues with our differences that kept popping up. Eventually we settled our differences and started going out.
It's been a bumpy road with my current girlfriend but every moment has been worth it. What's insane is that I had completely forgotten the existence of the Internet even though I've been using MSN and watching Anime online and the rare occasional few Youtube videos.
I still kept myself occupied with some of my old forgotten projects and some new ones too.

But now me and my girlfriend are happy together, and we seek to make our lives better for the both of us. And thus it means a lot of change...
Starting off with that I have to come back to using the Internet but I probably will no longer "hang around" on forums and such. And hopefully there will be many more blog posts that shows what's on my mind and what's happening around me. I cannot promise anything but there will be some new things as of this moment. Like the new M.E. Arts™ Blog. Plus I've been meaning to rant out about what flash games I found interesting and not.
Have I returned? Perhaps Rider Viper has returned...

Also I will no longer be posting random meaningless posts on this blog page. I know I've done that before but those were to demonstrate to students in my class since I do have an actual class that teaches how to post blogs...
